One surface, not two panes

ADHDNotes renders formatting inside the editor. Put the caret on a construct to edit its markers. Press Cmd+/ on macOS or Ctrl+/ elsewhere for complete source mode; press Esc to return.

What renders live

Headings, emphasis, strong text, strikethrough, semantic highlights, inline code, links, blockquotes, clickable tasks, nested lists, standalone images, and GFM tables all remain editable in place.

Math with KaTeX

Mermaid diagrams

Mermaid is the diagram engine. Diagrams default to a calm maximum width and accept a source hint or a 25/50/75/100% menu.

The literal hint is %% width; it stays portable source.

Fenced code

A fence opens as a nested editor with syntax colour, Copy, fence-scoped Select All, language search, optional line numbers, folding, indentation, bracket pairing, and grouped undo.

Tables

Type |One|Two| then Enter, or use /table. Cells stay rendered; Tab walks across them and creates a row from the final cell. A compact toolbar resizes, aligns, and deletes.

Bounded HTML

Notes may render <u>, <br>, <kbd>, <sup>, <sub>, trusted <video>, and YouTube or Vimeo iframes. Unknown or unsafe HTML remains visible source.

Images stay beside the note

Paste a screenshot, drop a file, or choose one from the header. ADHDNotes copies it into a configurable relative folder, inserts a portable path, and offers bounded completion after ![alt](. Right-click a standalone image for 25/50/75/100% sizing.

Writing themes

None is the ADHDNotes signature and default. Optional pages are Highlighter, Slate, Manuscript, Typewriter, Blueprint, and Ink. Follow interface uses None in light chrome and Ink in dark chrome. Interface appearance and writing appearance remain independent.
